ST MARY'S CHURCH REDLYNCH : NEWS

This year in place of a Lent course a series of home hosted discussion groups has been arranged beginning on 3rd March for 5 weeks when the topic will be “What is Church?” It is not too late to join one of these groups - there is a flyer with all the details attached to this month’s covering e-mail. I think many of us will be pleased to see the back of February - the storms and awful flooding, coronovirus and now civil unrest between Hindus and Muslims in India. How fortunate we are living in the relative peace of the New Forest but let us also remember those whose lives are full of turmoil for one reason or another. Which brings me neatly on to the theme - Focused on God? - of our Church in the Hall this coming Sunday, 1st March, when we explore Matthew 4 1-11 and learn how Jesus faces temptation from the Devil whilst spending 40 days in the wilderness.  On Sunday 15th March we will turn to John 4:5-42 and the story of the Samaritan woman at the well in conversation with Jesus - I am a child of God - a reminder that we are children of God no matter who we are or where we come from. 9.45 am for breakfast and worship commencing at 10.00 am as usual on both Sundays.
