Forres Sandle Manor School is a vibrant day and boarding school for boys and girls aged 2-16, set in an idyllic 35-acre campus on the outskirts of the river town of Fordingbridge, in the heart of the New Forest. With an average class size of less than 15 across the whole school, everyone at Forres Sandle Manor is well known and nobody is left out. Our school is full of kind, caring and hard-working pupils and inspirational teachers who help to instil a love of learning in all that they do. Above all, our ambition is not to make our pupils fit a pre-defined view of what they should be. We believe in getting to know every pupil and using our school to inspire them to achieve more than they previously thought possible. We want them to leave us believing there are no limits to what they can achieve, for themselves and for others.
Lover & Redlynch Pre-School is located in the peaceful village of Lover in the New Forest National Park. We have a beautiful enclosed garden and use of the natural surroundings on Lover Green. Our garden includes a wonderful outside classroom, gravel, construction, sand pits, slides, climbing apparatus, mud kitchen, scales, stepping stones, understanding the world corner and a make a friend bench. Our Pre-School provides: stimulating experiences which are specially tailored to individual needs, a place to have fun, a place to make friendships with other children and staff, a caring environment, an opportunity to build self-esteem, self-confidence and independence, opportunities for parents and carers to be involved. This is all in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework where children learn by playing, exploring, being active and through creative and critical thinking which takes place both inside and outside. As an independent Pre-School, we feed into many of the local primary schools including Hale, Morgan’s Vale, Whiteparish, Downton and New Forest (Landford & Nomansland). We offer opportunities for hands-on outdoor play experiences. Our nurturing, child-centered approach creates a happy and stimulating learning environment. We give each child the opportunity to develop at their own pace with adult support. OFSTED Registered – ‘’Good” status 2022. Reg. Charity No: 1026647.

A calm industrious buzz of learning or laughter from a shared funny moment are the most common sounds heard in our classrooms and corridors…

Downton CEVA Primary School. We work hard to ensure our children receive the best possible education within a caring environment. We give our pupils skills which they will be able to use throughout their educational career and on into later life – academic skills, as well as the skills to be a responsible, tolerant, caring citizen with an understanding of the wider world and our role in sustaining its resources. As a Church of England school we have strong links with our local churches and we value highly the Christian principles of honesty, respect for others, kindness and forgiveness.

As a school, we are continually looking to build on our success. Collaboration to improve learning and teaching and consultation on change will ensure the on-going success of our school. Whilst I believe that The Burgate already provides the best local education, our desire to be one of the top comprehensive schools nationally continues with great enthusiasm. I am delighted that the wide-ranging success of our students has been recognised and we continue to build on our glowing Ofsted report, which rated all aspects of the school as very strong or outstanding. At The Burgate, we aspire to deliver the very best academic and pastoral provision, which is highly valued by parents. The school has a very committed and supportive board of trustees, enjoys healthy links with the local community, our cluster primary schools and partnership schools. We benefit from the excellent support of parents whom we encourage to maintain close contact with the school and to get in touch whenever they have queries or concerns regarding their child’s education.
